MARILYN ICON

In the triptych MARILYN ICON I intervene on Andy Warhol’s most famous screen printing and fragmenting, while the word ICON, like a statement on golden foil, crosses the diva’s face. It is not a title, it is a seal, the synthesis of an entire life: Marilyn is the icon, the fragile and immortal myth, built and consumed by the spotlight. The glitch breaks pop perfection, multiplies cracks and reveals the human vulnerability behind the Hollywood smile. Printed on gold leaf, resined to obtain a material and precious surface, framed in aged effect foil, these works transform the broken pixel into a contemporary relic.
