ABOUT ME
Mauro Lovisetto LOVSET is a freelance visual artist, photographer, and videomaker who has been working in the field of visual communication since 1996. Known for his 'glitch' style, he has created artwork and videos for some of the biggest Italian music artists. From his studio in Treviso, Mauro works with communication agencies and architecture studios, bringing an innovative approach to photography and video. With over 25 years of experience, he continues to develop creative projects with passion and professionalism.
Mauro Lovisetto LOVSET è un artista visivo, fotografo e videomaker freelance che dal 1996 opera nel campo della comunicazione visiva. Conosciuto per il suo stile 'glitch', ha creato artwork e video per alcuni dei più grandi artisti musicali italiani. Dal suo studio a Treviso, Mauro lavora con agenzie di comunicazione e studi di architettura, portando un approccio innovativo alla fotografia e al video. Con oltre 25 anni di esperienza, continua a sviluppare progetti creativi con passione e professionalità.
ABOUT GLITCH
Glitch is my art. I don’t use pencil, marble or words: my medium is digital fragmentation.
Growing up with new technologies, I have always seen in them an artistic potential to explore. With photography and digital I break the perfection of images, intertwining noise and distortions to give life to unique visual fragments.
My works do not represent reality, they reinterpret it by inviting us to look further, to immerse ourselves in a distorted dimension that makes everything more authentic. My glitch art is an interruption of the predictable, a dialogue between digital techniques and imagination.
Il glitch è la mia arte. Non uso matita, marmo o parole:
il mio mezzo è la frammentazione digitale.
Cresciuto con le nuove tecnologie, ho sempre visto in loro un potenziale artistico da esplorare. Con la fotografia e il digitale rompo la perfezione delle immagini, intrecciando noise e distorsioni per dare vita a frammenti visivi unici.
Le mie opere non rappresentano la realtà, la reinterpretano invitando a guardare oltre per immergersi in una dimensione distorta eppure autentica. La mia glitch art è un’interruzione
del prevedibile, un dialogo tra tecniche digitali e immaginazione.

GLITCH IS THE NEW PUNK
The ‘77 punk shouted against the system with three very fast chords and fuchsia hair.
The glitch of the future screams against the algorithm with wrong pixels and broken images.
BREAK THE PERFECT, THE REAL IS BORN
AI generates perfect faces, perfect bodies, perfect lives. They are fake, the defect reveals humanity.
IF IT’S PERFECT, IT’S OLD
Today everyone has a smartphone that automatically corrects light, skin, proportions.
The “nice clean” is the old nineteenth-century academicism: technically perfect, emotionally dead.
GLITCH CAN’T BE EXPLAINED, YOU CAN ONLY EXPERIENCE IT
Try to explain an orgasm or techno music to those who have never experienced it.
Glitch is a direct experience, it takes you into its dimension.
DO YOU UNDERSTAND GLITCH? YOU’RE STILL ALIVE
It means that your brain is up to date, that you accept chaos as language, that noise is music for you.
You are cool, reactive, contemporary.
DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND GLITCH? YOU ARE OLD
Yes it’s an offense, it’s a fact. Your visual operating system has stopped at oil painting era or hand-retouched photography. Maximum respect, but you are a museum old piece.
TAKE A CLASSIC, VANDALIZE IT, SAVE IT
The Mona Lisa without glitch is a souvenir. Glitch forces you to look at the opera again,
from another perspective, with different eyes.
PERFECTION IS THE NEW PRISON
It looks like freedom, but it’s the golden enclosure of AI and likes. Glitch makes you breathe again.
THE BROKEN PIXEL SPEAKS MORE THAN THE BRUSH
We born togheter with the screens. Our alphabet is pixel, frame, code.
Brush was the language of our grandparents; Broken pixel is the language of future.
GLITCH IS REBELLION, NOT FILTER
The filter beautifies. Glitch sabotages, does not hide the flaws, multiplies them.
In a world that obliges perfection, glitching is the last truly free act that remains for the artist.
